i know im not the only bc'er out looking for shroomies but i gotta ask---does anyone have any luck finding this variety in the lower mainland. i think im in the rules asking that question. i have searched all related places and it suggests that cyans do frow here but i dont see evidence on these message boards from my fellow bc shroomers, and ill be fucked if i can find one. i have looked at bark mulch in about 300 different locations scattered throughout the lower mainland and have yet to find one. ive searched in the forest cause one source also says they love coniferous debris. nada! i have had good success with finding liberty caps in the valley and can eat as much cubensis as i please but i want to find these beautiful fruits i see my southern neighbours get to enjoy! id just drive to seattle but am unable due to being young and stupid once. well not just once but thats another story...

I went for walk today in a provincial park campground. it was closed for the season so I had free run of the place. I was amazed by many varieties. Alot off moss/wood chip areas. in areas the ground was almost soft with all the small debris. unfortunately I didn't find any cyans but I am getting close, can almost smell them. I haven't yet posted a picture on a thread yet so forgive me if i fuck up. these are NOT CYANS I found today. but fuck they sure look like them

im sure theyre there. sometimes it comes to a point where searching is useless, the cyans will find you instead.

thanks--its cooled down here enough that the libs should start coming soon so that keeps me happy but i sure want those cyans to come find me. its so dangerous driving home from work every day cause i hear them calling from the shrubbery all around me but i cant spot them cause, well, im driving! and yes, dont worry, quite a few of my 300+ locations were places i did pull over cause i was sure sure sure they were there!

its hard to explain but, when you stop looking so hard, they just appear in your way. example: when i go up to a tree to take a leak, look down, boom, there they are! raking your backyard, and suddenly you notice a caramel colored shiny mushroom...
