do you ever get tired of being a stoner?

Today was one of those days. I went to school running on a little sleep and some coffee and my friend Tony and I smoke a blunt as usual to start the day. We've been doin the wake and bake daily for a while now and I've noticed that the more trips [with psychedelics and especially dissociatives] I've had the more I come to enter those tripping mindsets while I'm high. Basically, all the tripping I've done lately has made smoking much different than it used to be and not necessarily for the better. I couldn't concentrate and do my work very well so I went home and felt a bit guilty for missing school because of weed - I always tell myself that weed doesn't interfere with my life and I can function with it - but sometimes I just get TOO high or too spacey to even get along on some basic survival level. I don't know...I think it's time for a break from smoking  :confused:

well you should start by taking of the dude smoking in the signiture.


i often think that my guilt for smoking pot is caused by laws. if i was able to smoke a joint before work or school or what not, i dont think id feel so guilty.

Yeah now I only smoke after work now it seems, or if I eat too much before work it's hard to work when you've stuffed your self full.

i talk a long break. i still have friends that smoke a few times a day -- i don't know how they do it. i couldn't stand being stoned for that long, really. sometimes feeling sober is really nice to me.

i've always avoided smoking before school, because i never wanted to put my academic work in any kind of impairment. i already have a hard enough time staying focused in school. i don't need marijuana to help me any more :smile:

I'm taking a break right now from weed. Not because of any underlying guilt, I just don't feel it's relevent in my life right now.

Reasons to quit (for a little bit):

I don't like to toke up before work and I work most days and until 9:00 PM, by which time I just want to sleep.

I'd like to save up some money (for a new bowl, 7g of 'shrooms, music, books, etc)

I'm tired of getting looks from my professors and fellow students, when I show up blazed as hell.



I did, however, buy a 10-sac in case my dealer's not selling when I decide to start up again.

Moderation is key. Over doing anything can usually make it a boring activity. Keep it fresh so that it's something to look forward to, rather than just a daily routine.

I think you may be on to something.
when i went to college - i didnt do many drugs. mostly psychedelics on the weekends. but now that im out of school, and the herb has me - i find i am much more unfocused and drifty. now it doesnt interfere with my life mostly (sometimes with paperwork:rasta:) but on the whole, no one gets hurt.

i find a wake and bake is only good on the weekends. i wouldn't be able to navigate through the city on a wake and bake during Monday rush hour. (shudder)OoD

not of being a stoner, but I relate to the "too high" feeling at times.

I've been tripping more than usual lately too. the more frequently I trip, the more psychedelic patterning/emotions come along with smoking bud, as well as the more difficult paying attention can be

breaks are never a bad idea

Just smoke at night. I was an all day every day smoker for about a year once and it was wasteful and I didn't enjoy it as much.

I dont get tired of being a stoner, but I do get tired of smoking. I have to smoke alot anymore to get buzzed, so packing alot of bowls in a day gets real annoying.
