Baeocystis do not start appearing until the end of July in the lawns. They grow well in late July after the real hot weather, especially on well manicured lawns. Around late September through December if there is no frost they will then grow in wood chips.

They were rare for a while (1973-1978) and then for 6 years they were comjmon and prolific throughuout the city.

I am afriad that the only shrooms you may find would be Blue ringers which are two different species which resemble each other , Psilocybe stuntzii and Psilocybe fimetaria. They also use to be in over 80 percent of every new lawn in this city for two to three years in each lawn after appearing. Now they are scares but abundant if you found a patch. I had a graet patch for two years here and then the geese shit the lawn to hell and pissed all over it and then the landscappers quit fertilizing it and they are no more on my lawn. My firend picked blue ringers last year from March through Christmas day but unfortunately he says they have nbot yet appeared in his motherlode which is in the city.

Of course I have ovvr 27 P. cyanescens patches for me to scour in the fall months.

Bands have always played like that. Last year Eric Birdon played at the Rianbow on 45th street in the U-district. many Guitar players actually enjoy the small personal a-ppearences like that because they are not rushed.
