misting dried casing?
    #744148 - 07/13/02 05:41 PM (22 years, 9 months ago)

I have made two casings using coir and some using manure/compost, and the coir ones seem to be drying out every two days. Is it ok to mist the surface to get it damp again? also does the water droplets damage mycelium?

Water droplers will damage pins but not mycelium.

Well, if your mister is of good quality (has a really fine mist), then it probably won't hurt anything. Just spray above the casing and let the mist fall over it.

Perhaps introduce more humity in your fruiting chamber somehow.
