1st casing/grow, few questions :)
    #673071 -

Ok. this?s my first grow and first casing ever.

I made 1 casing from 1 cake last wednesday and kept the lid on it untill monday (mycelium came thro the surface in few days) when I placed it in terrarium and started fanning/watering with water spray bottle. there is few larger spots of mycelium and ALOT of small mycelium dots on the casing now

ok this might be stupid question
Anyways I was wondering if this is normal or am I over watering it or something cause before I started watering the casing the mycelium on it was all fluffy and snowy but after started watering it lost all that and came thick "wire like" mycelium that looks like it?s pushed against the soil (I cased the cake with potting soil) I figured this might be normal and caused by the manual watering but just wanted to be sure hehe it?s hard to tell if the mycelium is actually growing cause I just took the lid off yesterday and been following it all the time since and don?t really remember how it looked when I took the lid off when do you think I?ll be seeing pins on it? (If ever)

And if I misted the casing too heavily will the mycelium be able to recover from it?

Those dots are most likely hyphal knots. Stop misting the casing directly and just keep humidity levels in the chamber steady. You'll probably see pinheads in under a week, and have a harvest a few days after that.
