no...In fact there are probably more KFC's in the north. I don't see them as often when I am in the south as I do in the north. In the north they are everywhere, in fact my fat ass disgusting neighbor is a regional manager for KFC. :lol: Yeah, he is truely one disgusting son of a bitch. You couldn't pay me to eat KFC.

But everyone that I have eaten with in the south will cook 6 or 7 vegetables with a bread of some kind and there would be a little meat literelly what would be considered 2 serving of meat up north would feed 5-6 people because they majority fresh vegetables. EVERYONE damn near it in the south has a garden, and usually three times the size of the gardens up north. They grow a lot of their own food and do there own cannning. They live a slower more primitve lifestyle than the people in north, which I like. I find northerners as a whole, to be more self absorbed than the ones in the south. If you go visit people in the north they will watch tv and have something entertain them. But in the south people will shut off their tv and make it their purpose to sit on the porch and  just shoot the shit with a glass of iced tea. Tennesse is the shit, there's no place I'd rather be.

I've met many Americans and travelled the country a few times and the people are in general not too different to any other Western country. All the states are so different you can't pass judgement on the whole, some were typically rude and arrogant and others kind and welcoming. You can only take issue with the govts, cultures and values they represent.

I hate American politicians and the stupid stupid people that believe them. Also the wacko evangelical churches and the whole gamut of groups in America that force opinions on their followers for no other reason than belief.

I hate how militarised the US is and how engrained in the culture the armed forces are. How so much of the US is wrapped up in the defense industry and how this makes wars profitable. How this has irreperable consequences for good and innocent people all over the world.

I hate how American leaders can be arrogant and pass judgement on other countries when they have no right to given the state of their own social record. I hate the insular nature of a lot of Americans i've met and how out of touch with other countries they are.

I hate this arrogant belief that theirs is the 'best' (most democratic, liberal, free, blah blah) country in the world when seriously it isn't. Like seriously.

I love the American countryside and how different it is from state to state. From the desert to the rockies, the big cities, the beaches, its an amazing land. I love the polluted sunset over LA, snow drifting past NY skyscrapers, the fresh, long, green grass on VA lawns, the massive mountains and forests, the aqua-blue water of the keys.

In summary America is like Iowa. You don't know how good the rest of the world is until you move out.

There are good and bad people everywhere in every country.

There are generalisations that hold true for some majorities of the public but they are just statistics.

I think that people who are 'switched on' actively rebel against the crap. The people that follow like mindless sheep are the bad people imo.

As long as a person can question things and be an individual then they have my respect.

I think it´s weird that different states can have different laws... Doesn´t exactly sound fair to me.

As for its people, they´re mostly like any other western country.
