if heat kills spores that how do spores survive with the oven tek?

Your not really leaving it in the oven for long. I believe they die from being in high heat after a while.

The oven shouldn't be heating up your substrate or spores. You want the hot air to rise out your oven and take contaminates with it. The hot air flow from the oven suposidle creates a clean enviroment to work in. Again, you're not heating up the spores or substrate enough to kill spores and if you are then you need to check what you're doing.

i'm wondering how hot spores really can get.... I got some last week that came UPS... i followed the tracking and they left for the route with them at 5:45am..... I got them about 4pm. that day it was high 90's F. Opened the box to feel them and they were warm. So i was sure they would have to have been killed from that heat all day...... but..... all is well and incubating. Weird stuff I would have to say in a truck like that it would have to be 105+F and in the semi it had to have been too.

On the flip side of this i came home a few weeks ago and foudn everything in the fridge frozen. Water soda Milk(that was an interesting one) and my spre syringes. Well after innoculateing later that week my jars are at 90-100%.
So i wonder how long they can remain fozen?
