Re: Hey you non-Americans....what's your honest view of America and Americans in general? [Re: indica]

I dunno the steak comment was random...but in all honesty I love America. I don't really care for our manipulative cock sucking politicians. But America itself I like. Better then living in some crappy third world country. Or some over crowded European country.

You know, I hate to say it, but I am completely embarrassed at my own country, not for our shitty president, but for how grossly overweight almost everyone I see at stores are. But don't hate us all, me and my friends take care of ourselves, do psychedelics, and dont ever start shit (but we will end it).

but seriously, I'm totally disgusted by the average american.

yeah something like 62% of americans are overweight or something ridiculous like that.

In Victoria, AU, 48% percent of Victorians (state where Melbourne is) are overweight, but that was a couple of years ago, it has probably no doubt gone up since then.

Fuck the West is a fat fuck up breed of shit kickers

Everytime I hear a statistic like this I think: "damn, that can't be true, I keep myself in such good shape".

Then I take a domestic flight on Southwest and realize it's probably spot on.

Not true. My family were British free settlers who founded amajority of the gold mines in Victoria.

For the most part it's true, but your country was founded by traitors

Randal, I wish you hadn't gotten involved with these posts and just read them

you had a great setup from the starting post but fucked this whole thread up by getting defensive/asking for evidence

QFfuckingT

I was gonna post this comment.. but someone already did. "Tell me how you feel, don't hold back, so I can get defensive!"

Ridiculous thread. Americans have so much to prove.

Just like the people here who question the war on terror are traitors, right?

no our country was founded by rebels who didn't want to pay taxes. But eventually had to...but thats not the point.

I live in the heartland of America and if it wasn't for the beautiful Ozark Mountains and the friends I already know and love here I would leave in a heart beat.  I fully and totally agree with Indica.  They may be stereotypes but they are more than true.  95% of the Americans that I know are fat, sweaty, ignorant, and extremely religious.  They end to lack class, taste, depth, integrity, intelligence and concern for anyone else besides themselves.  This isn't true of all Americans but it is true of most and I can definately say I'm not proud.  I am embarrassed!  I forgot to mention how little they care aobut the enviroment.  Most of them drive huge SUVs, don't recycle, and litter everywhere!  :glittershitz:

At least you see it and call it like it is, unlike others in this thread. I have also met Americans who say the exact same things you have said, but who have taken the next step and left the country. I applaud your honesty. :congrats:

Would it not be calling it like it is to note that here in Oregon, most of the people I've met are kind, open-minded, and intelligent?  America is not one homogeneous entity, you know.  The Pacific Northwest has about as much in common with the Bible Belt as it does with Micronesia.
