You call me an elitist, and I will merely say you are uninformed.  John Allen has dedicated his life to learning and teaching others about magic mushrooms; his contribution is huge, but you don't know about it because you don't care about mushrooms. I looked at your post stats and noticed that you don't have any mushroom related posts. Nothing, not even one. 

Why should your opinion matter so much? There are thousands if not millions of Pub and OTD chat forums on the internet. There are even plenty of drug forums on the internet where people can hang out. Just because the one you hang out in happens to be on the same board as the advanced mycology forum, I'm supposed to value your opinion?

For all those bashing mjshroomer - where is your contribution? What do you do for the shroomery that makes you more important than John, important enough to spread malicious lies about him with impunity?

Sure the man has a wealth of information about mushrooms but so do many others who aren't condescending assholes that pose a security risk to the community. Really though what do mushrooms have anything to do with this (ones opinion on John [or yourself for that matter] as a person) anyway? Respect of a man for his knowledge shouldn't automatically negate his "faults", whatever said "faults" may be.

On another note you don't know me or what mushrooms mean to me. You've made assumptions based on "post stats" about several users now. Because somebody doesn't grow or hunt actives they "do not care about mushrooms"? You're just being naive.

Look at my post stats, search my posts in the Mush Cult forum.  I've been there and done that already.  I got what I needed from those forums and no longer wish to clutter them with useless newb questions.  Trust me, I went through that phase.  I don't eat mushrooms constantly anymore.  I really don't understand where people like you and mjshroomer get this uppity attitude about the fact that you're both enthusiasts.  I love mushrooms and fungi in general, I don't obsess over the active species only.. nor do I spend my time here glorifying them.  Everyone already knows how great they are and what they can do for you.  I'd rather dick off in OTD or the Pub and just have light hearted, absurd fragmented conversations in my spare time and that's my right as a member - it doesn't give me any less of a right to make a statement about this.

This website is most certainly a drug related website.  It has explicit instructions on how to cultivate illegal mushrooms.  Fortunately, we live in a world where information is not illegal (in most countries).

The fact of the matter is, nobody should be volunteering information about themselves on an anonymous forum.  Period.  Say what you want, but this is an anonymous community and the people who have given their real names and pictures are in a vast minority.  You're just pissed off because your hero is gone.  He should not have any special treatment because he broke is anonymity.  Nobody should be allowed to accuse anyone here of pedophilia, but at the same time it's a huge difference between using someone's screenname and someone's real name.  If he didn't want people saying things about him or using his photographs, he should not have posted them.  I've posted plenty of mushroom pics and never incriminated myself in the process.  MJ just wanted people to glorify him as much as he glorifies himself.  My intent with this thread was to suggest that the admin do whatever they can to avoid another situation like this one.  The logical approach, to me, would be to let users know ahead of time that any personal info they give out is at their own risk and that they can't hold admin/staff responsible for the repercussions of doing so. 

It's obvious that you are idolizing mjshroomer for whatever reason, I suppose because he knows lots about psychedelic mushrooms - which are classified as illegal substances in most countries regardless of your personal beliefs or mine for that matter.  His actions here stirred up constant drama.  I could do a very brief search and find several examples of him causing drama in forums like the Pub, Grow Logs & Photos, etc. 

People like you and him are prime examples of people that shouldn't be doing psychedelics.  You've obviously got some kind of god complex or elitist mentality about yourself, as if you're enlightened by your "drug" use and are looking down at the rest of us who don't devote more time to it.

I think you need to get over yourself and mjshroomer too.  He was nothing but a condescending prick to 95% of the people who approached him on this forum.  He was even a dick to a lot of his biggest advocates.  He's unstable, childish, and a drama queen.  Good riddance, and I suggest you consider finding another forum if this one isn't up to your standards.
