I like the way it doesn't let you see the results - that's pretty schnazzy
People need to settle down on this though, the IRC op situation will be remidied. The admin just wants some time to review the persons who were previously on the list to verify that they actually have a place there (i.e. that they are active participants who are availble to effectively moderate the chat room should the need arise).
These people must exhibit good judgement. Not to say they can't have fun and kick their friends every now and again for shits and giggles - but if a user requests you to stop, then you gotta respect their feelings on the matter.
Let me reiterate: This was neither an intended insult to anyone or an attempt at hoarding power.. and we are going to see that the AOP list in #shroomery maintains itself at a reasonable volume and that members who cannot be responsible with their operator status, don't keep it. Also let me note, the recent restriction of the AOP list was not meant to say that you aren't a responsible person - it was originally done to prevent some user conflict that was really becoming a problem as it was concerning some mods/admins on a near daily basis and clearing the AOP list was one way to handle it. Fortunately the main problem was solved, and now that the AOP list is trimmed we will be taking the time to ensure that it is structured reasonably with respect to the channel.
So how about a little fuckin' patience and a little less bitchin' after that longass and very stoned, rambling post?
