What gadget do I need for tv audio output > stereo receiver?

I want to listen to the Live Earth concert over my stereo speakers. What device do I need to get since the tv is an older one? ( I already have some RCA cables on hand ).

Could you run a cable from the headphone jack in the tv to the aux-in on the stereo?

It doesn't have a headphone jack. It has only one output.

Im guessing you have only one coax cable on your TV. Plug a VCR into your TV using a COAX cable. Then run stereo jacks (Red &white) to the red and white on the back of your stereo.
