My cosmetic surgery odyssey

I debated telling you guys about this but I'm going to let it all hang out.

I am getting a rhinoplasty (nosejob) in two days. The plastic surgeon is going to do some minor tweaks and alterations. This whole thing started out as a minor septum fix thing (a valid health concern). But, the idea was floated that while he's in there he can do some cosmetic type work and make me look better. So, I said..."Why not?"

My surgery is on July 5th. I'll post pics and keep you guys informed. I'll be all out of it on the first day but from then on I'll probably be on the Shroomery for 24 hours a day because I won't be able to leave the house (I'll have bandages and a splint on my face). I'm also getting a bunch of percocets.

Go ahead and make fun of me.

Hold on...lemme get my camera.  I'll try to do a montage of before, bandaged, and after pics.  But, I guess your nose doesn't reach its final shape for a good year or so.

I'm also not allowed to drink booze for two weeks.  :sad:

1st, how old is the surgeon?
2nd, a 'minor' septum fix? I don't understand the health concern here... are you black and can't breath out your nose?

Best of luck-- I'm not going to bust your balls over it-- 99% of the time I'm against cosmetic surgery-- but you're reasoning seems good to me-- hope it comes out ok, and doesn't look like it is made of candle wax when it's done.

i'm not gonna lie, i've entertained the thought a bit myself. i'd like to shrink my shnoz a bit, but i don't think i'll ever actually do it.
