last fundraiser,, I abstained, cuz first I'm poor,, plus I don't really like giving away money unless is tax deductable,, so I'm just suggesting,, that next fundraiser,, hopefully soon, I'm sure thor gos some ideas,, you guys offer tax deductiable receipts,, why don't you do this,, thor,, 3d?

You have to be registered as a non-profit organization to have donations given to you be taz deductible. Its a lot of paperwork, there'd be officials looking into the organization, and there'd be records of who is making donations. Not going to work..

a 5-10 dollar donation isnt gonna make a difference on your taxes anyway....

gross income - deductions = taxable ammount

not

return + deductions = return

there.. the first example was a bit off..

yeah... costs of registering a non profit ,, 5-10 dollars depending on state,, costs to set up an american representative,, commision based,, costs of incorporation, in the case that 4 people cannot be organized to trust each other, 500-10000+ government investigation into non profits for legall activities like non profit donations to keep an informational website running.. non existant. you ever ran one dj? Recently I worked for a Canadian based charity, run by an samoan in Hawaii. Another one was a phillpino charity run by an american an Hawaii, I have done alot of research on non profits,, so is difficult to understand,, thas why i started this thread.

i of course have no experience with non-profits, but this is how it works at the store i run. so i could be totally wrong. Never claimed to be a tax specilist

I'm no tax specialist either,, but I've studied taxes,, I am able to do tax work like this, seems like my non profit been around too long without being active,, guess I'm too lazy. I don't understand what you are trying to say,, tax deductable is tax deductable,, I don't know how canadia works though.

Didn't buy a non-profit webpage, the Shroomery has always been .org since Ythan created it. But it was never a non profit, and it probably never will be.

There are a lot of sites with .org that are not non profit, in fact I would guess most .org sites are not non profit...
