Well now that we are on our new host we can look at finally making the changes we've been talking about.
I want to recruit a small team of web page designers to work together to totally change the look of the shroomery.
We need to totally redesign the home page, all the sections, especially the gallery and grow/find sections.
If you are interested you have to be able to put some time and effort into this. I would like to set a deadline of October 1st for the new look shroomery. If we can get a few talented web designers working together we should be able to come up with something very cool.
So let me know if you want to join the team, I think its best we 'meet' in chat once a week, and contact each other via ICQ to discuss ideas, send samples etc.. to each other...
Just reply to this post, if you have some samples of your work please post a link to it.

I would be more than happy to help out with some coding and shit. The place where I'm interning right (for free) now is going to pay me to update their webpages. Although I don't have any hosted webpages at the moment, I understand the fundamentals of good web design; just because you can code HTML don't mean you know one thing about web design. Erm, I was thinking about emailing you on this very subject while you guys were changing servers, but I figured you probably had it under control. ;-) I can lend a hand in the design if you so desire. I have worked for a few large networks such as Gamespy, and I have plenty of experience coding etc... I don't have any interest in coding, but I can do you up a phatty design if you like. hehe :-)
I used to have a purple and yellow site layout designed around the mad hatter for a psychedelic site a while back, but I trashed it :-( Heres all I have to show you right now...

I too can help if it is needed. I can and have created some pretty cool webpages, but have no examples at the moment. www.archivecentral.org. That is a website which I administrate, but the other admin with me is a bit of an ass and recently decided he wanted things his way and wanted to change my design to his and he pays server fees I shut up and let him fuck things up.
I still have a copy of the one design I came up with real quick though. I can send it to you if you would like.
Also, I can create an example for you. My weak point comes in creating images. I know how to use them and all, but I just cannot figure out how the hell to use my graphics programs. So, because of that I usually create websites without them, which still look cool.

I'd be happy to help out with any coding you guys need done. I'm somewhat experienced in HTML, DHTML (moving elements on a page), Java, Java script and C++. well, looks like all of us are site builders in one way or another. I guess I'll throw in my hand too, and since all of the other bases seem to be covered, I guess I'll offer PHP and SQL.
I was a part of the team that created this sites: http://www.ctvnews.com and http://www.cknw.com.
Now I mostly stick to streaming integration. But I still piddle with other aspects such as layouts and coding.

Be careful if you use java. I know most java runs poorly on Macs because of coding errors and microsofts lack of support in their browsers for macs. And, future microsoft browsers may not support the javascript we know and love. They are writing their own java language and calling it j-script.
I brought this up cause I was looking at your link, Potsmokinghippie, and I can't see anything on that page except for the word MENU.
