Using Cytokinin To Force Cactus Offsets

I recently acquired a gram of 6-Benzylaminopurine to force offsets in my T. Peruvianus and Pachanoi as mentioned in this thread:

However, I was unable to find "lanolin" in my area as Una recommends.  Would I instead be able to use petroleum jelly to mix the BAP with?

damn, i might have to try that on my san pedro! it already has 3 arms, but they're all the way at the base and itd be nice if i could make it look like a giant Saguaro! wonder if he has any updated picture since 2004 of the progress?
