Has anyone tried this yet? - Mycelium transfer to new jars
    #7094120 -

I've got an idea I want to try but I dunno if anyone's done it yet and I'm not sure if it'll be effective. I figure though that since sometimes it takes a while for spores to begin spreading out mycelium that it might work to just take an allready made, filled out cake, break it up, and place pieces in newly prepared substrate in order to produce new cakes faster. If anyone has tried this or knows of a reason why it wouldn't work then please let me know.

This isn't really an advanced topic. Please read my response in the cultivation forum.

This thread has been closed.

Reason:
Grain to grain transfers are one of the long-time staples of mycology. There's a thread on them in cultivation at this moment. Please save this forum for advanced and experimental mycological techniques.
