If you bruise a psilocybe, the spot will turn a dark greenish-blue color.

All you can really do at this point is continue with your experiment and wait for the mushrooms to grow out. If they come out something other than what you expected, contact the person you bought them from.

If it didn't stain blue, you probably handled the cake correctly. Only be worried if a fully grown shroom doesn't bruise blue, especially if found in the wild.
