I'm not 100% sure on this but I think the cakes don't stain blue. I do know for a fact that when you snap a stem in half that it will stain blue.

cakes stain if they are weakly or drying. brf+verm cakes tend to blue the easiest compared to birdseed or quinoa cakes.
