MY CAKES ARE TURNING BLUE!!!!!
    #539766 - 02/03/02 11:05 PM (23 years, 1 month ago)

I have 2 cakes in an aquarium with perlite humidifcation. There are white lumps all over the cakes but the ends are turning a dark blueish, black color. Other spots on the caked are turning blue. What is the problem? When are they going to pin? Thanks everyone for the help.

try to post a pic. Usually when your cakes start turning blue they are either bruised from being knocked around or they are drying out.

I saw a cake turn blue a day and a half after
being touched. While looking closely you could
see tiny lines that turned out to be thumbprints.
Next day it was gone.

How long did it take for the cakes to colonize?

If they took too long.....they might need water.

I had some EQ's that took forever to colonize..
They were dryed out and turned blue about 2 days after birthing.
So i dunked em and they turned white again.....then i cased them.

Then like the guys said above.

Also make sure your humidity is high.
