I was looking at one of my mushies today and one of the mwas discolored on the base. It was bluish green. This stuff was only on the shroom, not on the cake. What should I do? Should I take of mushie imediatly? If I cut off the base is the rest of the shroom still ok to eat? Please answer as soon as you can because I don't want this stuff to spread.

I've had this in the past. Remove muhsroom at desired size and cut off the bottom part. That simple. :) mycol michael

It's very unlikely that mold would grow on a healthy shroom. Did you mist w/ a h2o2 solution? could it have been dripped on? Did someone touch it? Did the base have a thick fuzzy coat? What's the condition of the cake? Dry, moist, other? Bluish green sounds like bruising. Wouldn't expect that sort of thing unless there was some external cause.

that sounds like bruising. did you know that cubes bruise blue (sometimes greenish)? yeah, they stain blue and its beautiful to see it happening. you must be new to shroom cultivation because you're asking if u should cut the shroom off, everybody knows that shrooms must be pulled off the cake, otherwise remaining fruiting tissue may rot...
i hate wit sigs / if anything i say has something in common with reality, this is a merely a coincidence.
