Blue spots on cake: Contam or Damage?

I just birthed a cake yesterday and after checking it and fanning this morning, I noticed a few tiny blue spots on the top of the cake. I heard that blue spots were ok, but I just want to be sure. What does blue usually indicate? Thanks...

The blue spots could just be bruising on the cake. the way I tell the difference is a contam will actually be a growing organism on the cake where bruising looks like a stain on the cake. Like some blue dye was injected into the cake.... hope that helps!
