Ill tell u what i know...
measure 250g of bird seed(use a baby bottle or something with graduation) and pour them to the jar, then add 130ml of water into each jar, close the jars and cook them in a pressure cooker or autoclave for an hour,(the seeds should inflate a bit)let them cool, now they are ready for innoculation...

I recomend a mix of 50%millet and 50%cannary seed

Hey musgil,

My recipe is similar to airdog's,
for a 1 pint jar:
2/3 cup birdseed
1/3 cup water
Pressure cook (a must) at 15 psi for 1 hour. Works well for me.

Thank you for your advice. I was calculating how the birdseed should be cooked before it is used mixed in a substrate containing flour and vermiculite. Your advice worked out really well.
