Found this on Erowid. It is fucking old, but i am willing to give it a shot. I have a source for cubies as they grow in abundance in a local bush, but the supply is never enough for my flat mates and I.

Is there a simpler way to get an unending psilocybin farm going?

According to this "tek", you can produce a quart-size liquid culture that contains 50 2g-dry-equivalent doses of psilocybin.

Anyone want to swig 18mL of their fully-colonized liquid culture to find out? Sounds like a big fat load of bullshit to me.

I seen a few teks on this and was thinking that if you were the kind that just makes chocolates pills and teas this would be awesome for totally cutting out the taste a p.c. and about 20 extra steps.

Isolation of psilocybin from fruit bodies would be way, way more effective. I don't know that for sure, but everything I have learned indicates it strongly. Non-fruiting mycelium is not powerful stuff.

I seen one where you take a whole colonized jar of rye and pour a cup of cranberry juice in it then filter that and drink it but I forget how many it serves I want to say one but I don't want so kid to try it and trip balls into the hospital because according to this tek it would be like 10.

That tek's bullshit. And also gross.

I've drank mycelium slurry, for the sake of shits, giggles, and science. (Mostly the first two.)

One cake pulverized into sour mix and water = equivalent 0.5g dry mushrooms. I can tell when I'm tripping off even a gram, and I could just BARELY tell I was tripping on this. Absolutely, positively worthless.

Now if someone's going to tell me a quart of LC has fifty trips in it, I'm going to have to see it to believe it. And when I don't see it, I'm going to be mad at the douche who said it did, even if I have to hunt his aging hippie ass down. They said something about the timing of the extraction being important in ensuring high levels of psilocybin--basically, the mycelium has to finish its sugars, then you wait four days--but I simply can't believe it.

This is probably a topic for advanced cultivation, though, when you look at it.

To answer your question--sorry, got sidetracked being pissed off at the technique in that link--yes. Your best bet is to:

1) Take a spore print off one of those mushrooms, or use a sterile sample from inside its stem to start a liquid culture.

2) Inject either the spore solution or the liquid culture into what are called PF-tek jars or BRF jars. You can set these up pretty cheaply.

Instructions for all of these can be found in the basic grow tek section.

I read only some types of mushroom have active mycelium and cubensis isn't one of them. When they wrote the book they mistakenly assumed all magic mushrooms were like that.

Drinking LC like swallowing semen? Some of the girls (guess there aren't many) on here must know what that's like. And maybe they like it !  :tongue: :thumbup:

That should actually produce a good dose or maybe more. I put 120cc of water in a colonised jar of wbs and shook it up and poured out the water, the water was very dark blue and smelled like potent fresh cubensis.

The closest thing to this tek is growing and harvesting sclerotia.

If this tek where to actually give you a decent result then there would be no need to fruit.

I'm certain there is enough actives in a quart jar of mycelium to cause you to trip. But if you wait an extra two weeks for the mycelium to fruit you can produce enough mushrooms to trip a dozen times.

And people wouldn't fancy drinking mycelium water anyways.

But you can trip on mycelium, the water I discarded from the jar of wbs was very very blue, indicating there should be enough in there to trip.

Note that the tek is about there being 50 trips worth of actives in a quart jar of LC, not a quart jar of colonized substrate. There may be one or two trips in a quart of solid mycelium, but LC has a far lower mycelium content by mass.

In other words, total BS tek.

If LC mycelium even has the ability to produce actives it would take 50 gallons to make a dose.

A *fully* colonized quart jar of rye berries will provide a decent trip, but not 50!

Get unsweetened cranberry juice (or any highly acidic fruit juice), fill jar, use a fork to break up the clumps, agitate to get all grains separated. Let stand for 15 minutes or more. Pour through a strainer. Rinse with some water to get it all in there. Don't skim off the froth. Hold nose, down the hatch, blast off.

Great way to get a trip before you get some fruits from a new grow. Easy to knock an extra quart or two if you've got the room in your incubator.

Again, above tek said LC, not even rye berries. Even less potent.

And someone already mentioned that tek, it's okay, but somewhat gross and completely wasteful, in my opinion.
