For those unfamiliar with this tek, it is basically the harvesting of liquid grown mycelium that is later extracted with solvents. I did some work with this method ages ago. There are a few problems with it. First, its liquid culture technique, like honey water or malt water methods. That means it is very prone to contaminate and contaminates are not always that easy to detect. You wouldn't want to extract a bunch of misidentified nonsporulating white mold mycelium. Try searching for honey water results in the forums here to get an idea of the problems with liquid mycelium production. Second, the yields are way off in the active principles. Psilocybin and psilocin are slow to form, so for best results the liquid must be aged longer than reported in the tek. This can probably be overcome somewhat by selecting a strain that just happens to be productive with submerged culture. But you would have to do the selection process yourself since I am not aware of any existing strains selected for this trait. I seem to recall that Shroom Wizard does some of this method, so he might be the one to contact in that regard. This method has been available since the 1970's and I think its telling that noone seems to do it. It does work, but its not as nice a method as it seems. I doubt that it was ever implemented beyond a few test trials of a few jars and I suspect that the expanded idea of 5,000 doses a week exists only on paper. You might look into a bioreactor type method using large flasks to generate more reasonable amounts of harvstable mycelium for later extraction. Personally, I like the ease and hands-off method of bulk sclerotia production to produce a large amount of concentrated mycelial mass. Good luck and report back.
