re-incubation after patching?

I harvested a very weak first crop off of this casing -- maybe 60-70 wet grams of mostly mutant shrooms, aborts, and other abnormalities. I may have initiated pinning too early and been too aggressive about disinfecting. Any chance I might have some more success with future flushes?

I patched the casing a bit with some leftover casing mix I had (after nuking it in microwave and letting it cool). There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of mycelium poking through the surface, and thus, not really any pinning either. My question is: should I put the casing back into its incubation environment to encourage some mycelial growth before initiating pinning again?

Or, is this thing pretty much dead and I should just chuck it?
