Making a Clean Box & water with a UV lamp?

I did a search and it found nothing for me about "Germicidal lamps" "UV lights"...

What about making a Clean Box using a UV lamp inside it to sterilize the tools, water, and pint jars.

Also you could have a reg lamp to us inside also. You could just line the box with window tint that blocks uv rays and also wear sunglasses for protection.

Have you heard about doing this?

If you left the water in the pint jars under the UV light theorectically it could it kill all the viruses and bacteria in the air and water w/o using a risky pressure cooker method right?

PC is not really 'risky' its cheaper and less teadious then that setup. but who knows if it doesnt cost allot then try it :P

UV causes cancer. In addition, there is nothing sterile about gloveboxes. They're a place to do inoculations in still air. You sterilize your substrates with steam or pressure cooking, and then do your inoculations in a clean(soap and water) glovebox. Needles and scalpels should get flame sterilized until red hot before use, and in between uses. Don't use UV.
