Color of pins

I have a bunch of little brownish/redish dots are these pins most likely?

Most likely. What strain? What size? How high off the mycelium?
Can you supply a pic?

B+, pretty small, at the very top of the mycelium, and i don't have a scanner sorry.

so is a brownish color correct if they are pins?

No, not unless you saw tiny white round dots first. Those would've been hyphal knots. Then the knots rise up to pins with brown at the top. If you see nothing resembling a stem beneath the brown, then there's a problem.

So the question is:
Did you see the hyphal knots? 1/2mm spherical BRIGHT white dots?
And;
Did they turn into the brown spots?
