hyphal knots?

Ok, I suppose I could just wait to see what happens with my babies, but I'm anxious. I have a few cakes as well as a few casings in my terrarium, and they're all forming little bunches of mycelium. On the cakes, they look like little balls, and on the casings, they're spindly little white strands sticking up with a small spherical ball on the end. As of now, they're completely white. Are these pins?!?

keep fanning and lower the humidity.

He somehow manages to breathe in his sepia, wounded-tea, liquid ambiance suspension.

Personally I wouldn't lower the humidity until you actually get proper pins with brown heads to them

Normally i dont even noticed the knots. I just get pins poppen up. Im gonna look out for em tho.

my casing mycellium was nice and fluffy for about 2 days until it started to form strands and 'knots' yesterday. hoping to see some pins tonight too! youre doing fine for now, although i wouldnt advise cased substrate in the same terrarium as cakes. cakes need about 95% humidity and casings work best around 80-85%. either the cakes wont fruit properly or your casings will produce fatty abhorts. or you could get VERY lucky and see them both fruit- but id suggest 2 terrariums.

They're fine in the same terrarium until fruiting, only then do you need to lower the humidity.
