Different myc. in casing

Could someone explain why some casings have fluffy myc. in the valleys and others have straight white bunches of thick looking hairs sticking out.Does the hair like arms need to be sprayed?No, the search engine doesent answer this question. Thanks..

the thick hairs are ryzomorphic growth and are signs of strong, healthy mycelium

Of course, without a picture, I'm just picturing it in my head and could be wrong.
