hydrapod questions ONE OTHER THING!

Another question popped into my head about the geolite.

I've rinsed the geolite with water, bleach, and water a second time. Is it okay that the geolite smells faintly like bleach? Or, should I rinse it down until the smell is gone?

I don't have any cakes in the pod yet, but in a couple days I'll be good to go. I'm so excited about this!!

I run my water pump 24/7 before pinning.
after the cakes are pinning.....I run the water pump 1 hour on/ 2hours off.

You should clean the geolite after every grow cycle.
so you would clean it after your cakes are done with there flushes.

I have the Desktop model and there's no timer on the pump. You must have the Advanced model.

Myco-Tek told me that after several crops it's wise to re-rinse the geolite and clean out the tray cause the clay dust will still collect in the water as well as some vermiculite and stuff like that from the cakes. With the Desktop pod...you leave the airpump on 24/7...when you first birth your cakes you put the air pump to minimum and open the air vent at the top of the dome the SLIGHTEST crack open. Once pins begin to form you open the air pump to halfway and open the air vent to 1/4 open. Then when the fruit bodies begin to grow...you crank the air pump to maximum and open the top air vent all the way and just leave it like this til the cakes are spent. I only have to add water every week back to the correct level.
