Shroomgod, how long did it take for your straw to colonize w/the ultimate tray set up?. Also, have you tried cubes in it?????

mycomountain, yes, I did try ecuadors in straw a few times and others I've helped have tried Mazatapecs too. Man Maz RIPS through straw like no one's business! We are talking rhizomoph city! Anyway, if the temps are right, it will take about 7 days in my experience to get through the straw. It's really fast.

Thanks everyone else for the compliments. The only reason I have written my thoughts and successes is that I've gotten such compliments, which means I'm helping others out.

I think one important thing to emphasize is that I'm not a master mycologist or any such thing even close. As Ryche can prove (as he provided the spores for my first tray), I'm just a guy who carefully and passionately pursued growing mushrooms through reading and others' help on the Shroomery. Thank YOU ALL who have helped ME!
