ShroomGod's Tek, Clearing it up

Ok, I've been growing for a couple of years now. Just small time fun stuff, mycology is a great hobby. I think the best part is trying different strains and different teks. Before I try a new tek or strain, I like to come on here and clear up any loose ends that I don't understand. So, here goes... please answer if you are in the know...
(these all refer to ShroomGod's Straw and Humidifier tek)

1. The recommended 45 gallon tub-it should be the solid color one, right? Not the clear versions?

2. When covering the substrate with the 3-mil funiture wrap, do I also put the top back on the tub, or leave it open? I'm guessing that I put the lid on, but not sure.

3. Roughly, how much spawn should I use (using 1 pint jars)?

4. Is there any need to apply heat to this set up? (I keep my house at about 70 degrees). Will the "cool" mist humidifier effect temperatures?

Are there any other suggestions or tips out there before I try out ShroomGod's tek?

the humidifier might drop the temp a degree or two. not sure
