Well I think that the details I just gave are kind of enough. I was very close to dying, I literally had moments when I felt death going around me, that strong was the impression. Which in extent made me realize that I had nothing to fear... I can't tell you exactly how that happened and why I did not freak out since it wasn't really a rational choice, but a very aware one if that makes some sense. :shrug:

You know that saying: what doesn't kill you, makes you stronger... I think that's the case and I took the opportunity to make a growth which as a result made me understand that fear is our only real enemy.

Also I think that I was almost sure that I will die and that probably made me instantly drop all my attachments to this world. When you realize that you have nothing to lose you change your persecutive upon life.
All in all, I am really grateful for my experience :yinyang:

I definitely feel that the death experience is THE ticket. You are not really 'reborn' until you die. The experience is very real, at least IMO. I suspect Vampires were a way to scare people from gaining access to the 'realm'. Or that there were actually a group who thought they were indeed dead and took that reality to an extreme.

Another excellent book, "On Death and Dying," by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross:

Though every man will attempt in his own way to postpone such questions and issues until he is forced to face them, he will only be able to change things if he can start to conceive of his own death.

This cannot be done on a mass level. This cannot be done by computers. This has to be done by every human being alone. Each one of us has the need to avoid this issue, yet each one of us has to face it sooner or later.

If all of us could make a start by contemplating the possibility of our own personal death, we may effect many things, most important of all the welfare of our patients, our families, and finally perhaps our nation.
