swim just started one of these aswell on obtus bark. hes boiled 300g twice, first time 1 hour, second time 3 hours. he wonders if he could chuck all this liquid back into a pot and boil for another 3-4 hours to evaporate it down and have less water to work with. would he lose any goodies by doing this?

also hopsital syringes are plastic. any chance they ar ok to use with solvents?

Plastic is fine to use with solvents, it just has to be "food grade" #2 HDPE.

can we get an exact list of the dry goods needed for this particular extraction?

would it work the same way for viridis?

yeah. viridis would just need a defat in between acid and base.

okay, finally:

it was all redissolved, and freeze-precipitation repeated. this time i only interested myself in the white stuff, and not the yellows stuck to the bottom of the jar. these were scraped off and resuspended in the naphtha, in a sealed jar heated under the running hot tap. it redissolved and i managed to collect and remove a pinhead of dark yellow crap by leaving it on a tilt and letting gravity do it's thing.

there's probably still some goodies in the liquid, but the grade A whites were collected, dried, washed with cold ammonia and stuck in a vial: 2.8g of primo DMT. the liquids will be later evaporated to dryness and stored separately.




the pics show (L to R):
prewash dry crystals, postwash dry crystals (different lighting, sorry), vial of elfspice without camera flash, vial with flash.

:tongue: it's been a long road but i think it's gonna be worth it. trip report will be forthcoming in a few days.

yeah man do some more research. if you dont know what the acid and base steps are your not really ready for the extraction.

anyways. the acid step is when you acidify the water down to pH3 or thereabouts. the base is when you basify the water to 13. while the water is in its acidifed form, you pour in some solvent, then suck the solvent out, do this a couple of times and it sucks the fat out of there so your crystals come out purer.

Really Excellent Work!! Nice Pictorial, Fantastic results, I'm sure down the road you'll be thankful you spent the time/energy to get the White...So much more cleaner burn, and a little dab 'll do ya!! Nice and potent...

Wha? It melted?! I heard it has a low melting temp but room temp?
I guess you can try and re-freeze but it would probably turn into a brick. Or reconstitute it into some blotters like lsd. What did you do?!

you put it into too warm of a place and it melted. just heat up some naptha again, use it to clean out the vial, and do another freeze precip and place it in a cooler place. either that, or what happened to me once, i scraped up the dmt too fast and didnt let all of the naptha evaporate, and once the little bit of naptha warmed up it melted the rest of the dmt.

I just wanted to say thanks for all the effort put into this pictorial tek, I'll be starting my first extraction tomorrow.  And thanks to you and a lot of the input from this forum, I should be able to do more things "right" without taking the time to learn it the hard way.  =)  Wish me luck!
