How long does myc take to come through casing?

I will be using a thin layer of moistened coco coir over sum colonized whole grain rice. Any idea when to look for myc popping up?
I was thinking of using about an inch of substrate and 1/2 inch casing layer of pure coco.

And I know thin substrate = small yeilds, I only desire enough shrooms to trip out of this first grow attempt
