But in all seriousness i suggest you ignore that little voice in your head and react more on impulse, most people don't analyze things quite as much as you do. it will make you happier.

i do the same thing i over analyze everything and i think it hurts me in the long run or i just start to drive myself crazy about the thought.

and i wonder off onto other random thoughts constantly....that why half my threads and posts probly dont make much sense.

"How do we know whether the life of any creature has fulfilled its destiny? I have known the very old to die in bitterness and despair. I have seen young children die before their time but leave behind such a legacy of love and joy that grief for their passing was tempered by the knowledge that their brief lives had given much to others."

Luckily you have that resource. I got involved with a girl for a number of years who is about as anti-social and misanthropic as I am. We clung to each other pretty tight through the whole relationship. Now that we've split up, we're both short on friends and depressed about it, but she's in college and is adjusting slightly better than I am.

I'm seriously thinking about going back to school just for some intelligent friends and better drug hookups. If nothing else it might keep me too busy to be depressed about anything.

>i think everyone cares. but, really. hardly anyone does.

Whether anybody cares or not is immaterial. WHen you see the human race for what it is (a blink of an infinite lifetime in the smallest cell of the universe) you stop worrying about what other humans think. ANd just start thinking about whether anything means anything at all, ever. I like to think it does.

Pfft, he's happy, that should be enough for him. Focus your energy on your own happiness.

Put yourself out there 100 times against your better judgment and if it's reciprocated once you've gained far more than you've lost.

Hey Chica
these guys are right. Focus on your own happiness, and worry less about other's. Everyone has a certain uniqueness that no one else can share, and those who do feel left out tend to copy and follow each other- like that 'party' stuff- and drinking. It's the same cycle over and over again. And a girl who likes traveling is trapped in this building full of mysterious people who trip and pile over each other because they're probably drunk. Doing certain things alone and having people react to that in the opposite way, doesn't make you a bad person. That's how you choose to spend your time. Everyone has their ways. If you want a good impression from these people, try to interact, be your crazy goofy self like you are with me when we talk on AIM. Ya know? You don't have to spill everything out to them, but get in their conversation sometime and make a joke out of it. You might get looks, like you're incredibly intelligent, or the ass-queen. You'll get cold shoulders from people and niceness from the others- and that's what's interesting about society. It's just like traveling and learning different cultures from people. But if you want to open up more, get out of the college life , go outdoors and talk to random people at comic book stores, coffee shops, gas stations- wherever, that'll give you a boost to be comfortable around the peeps in your campus... For me, I'm always nervous when I communicate. I tend to ramble very fast, without thinking. I'm comfortable talking to strangers older than me and younger...but what I do is absorb what they say, and then if it may create that spark of the moment, I'll probably relate something to their topic. Kinda like here
Its great that you assume that people might smoke too. Because, the majority does that. The only way to cure this anxiety and paranoia is to find a place of your comfort zone.

All this wondering if you should help the girl or not when she stumbles, or a guy whatnot, follow your mind. Act on it. Then your actions will change your anxiety forever.

Yeah waking life is a great movie.
