Jars Stalled
    #692197 - 06/21/02 08:27 AM (21 years, 5 months ago)

My friends hampster has just started trying to grow shrooms. This is the second batch he is doing. The first time the jars were covered with tinfoil and did good. (waiting for pins) The second batch used canning jar lids. The jars started out ok and developed about a quater's width. But after that they stalled. It has been about a week and i have seen little growth if any. My question is does the jars need some airflow. The jars lids are sealed air tight.

I just cover my jars with tinfoil because I find that it will provide minimal air exchange along with contamination protection....the best of both worlds.
