My spawn is drying out and stalling
    #807468 -

My Rye spawn is drying out and slowing in growth. I looked in the faQ's but I could not find anything that applied to my situattion. I used 200ml of water per 1 cup rye, and I added a bit of gypsum to help. I innoculated them a month ago. I don't want to just waste them, so anyone's ideas on re-hydrating spawn would be very appreciated.
I was told to add hydrated peat to the rye and let it go for a few more days, but I can't remember all the things that I was told to do. There were a few other steps, that I know I am not recalling. If no one tells me anything though I am probally just going to mix three quart jars of rye and a quart of sterlized peat moss and put it into a tupperware for two days or so. Then I will put that with 25%horse dung and 75%wheat straw.
Anyways thanks in advance,
joshLSD

you must give all the jars to me Seriously though, I think that mixing the rye with saturated peat should work just fine. Next time I come over I will show you a very cheap way to keep your humidity up (see picture) so your jars won?t dry out anymore.

kaliedo...-its a peroxide bottle with an air stone inside. The stone is connected to an air pump which blows humid and sterile air into an incubator. This keeps my jars from drying out
