just wait a while longer, i think. Mine took like forever, and then i noticed something that just looked lke a piece of lint. after a day or two more they took off. are u sure u waited for the cakes to cool long enough before injecting the spores?? good luck...

No!!

You came this far, wait at least another week.

I don't know much about your growing conditions, but my guess from experience is that you are not keeping the jars warm enough. Typical household temps are between 68-72 degrees farenheit, and mushrooms especailly cubenis mushrooms like temps between 82-86 degrees farenheit.

Try putting the jars in a warmer place.

What do you have to loose by waiting my took a long time when I used the verm/rice formula too.

I innoculated 6 jars all at the same time. 2 Jars took 19 days to show signs of growth! The other 4 jars showed signs of growth within 72-96 hrs..

I have no Idea whey they went at different speeds, I tried real hard to do each one exactly the same.

But they all grew, some just took a lot longer!

Temprature, spore concentration, and freshness of spores, are all things that affect when spores will germinate. The key is the temprature!!!!! Find a dark warm spot and place your jars, trust me it makes a world of difference.
