Hostel (The Movie)

I'm watching the special features in the movie Hostel and some questions and issues arose.

Did y'all know this movie is based on actual events (in Thailand). Apparently, there's a market for this over there.

Is teaching kids to cuss in a different language ok? I don't have kids, but I have 3 year old nephew. The director of Hostel was saying nasty things in different languages and some slovakian kid was repeating everything he said.

Those kids that are little shits but you like them at the end..they can fuckin get down.. there's footage of them doing some break dancing.

No. The director came across a web result and that gave him the idea--it was never verified whether or not the web result was real.

Ya it really was a piece of shit.

Some of the torture scenes stick in your head though.

And no I don't think it's right to teach kids to swear no matter what language it is. They will learn on their own soon enough, no point in rushing that.

What made it ridiculous was the soundtrack--'goofy classical music was playing during the escape from the torture chamber.

I really wouldn't be surprised if something like that could be set up in Thailand though. So long as they think the price is right... :voodoo:

I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but the kids break dancing sounds cool :rolleyes:
