I think Hostel was just released on DVD. I love Quentin Tarantino's movies, so i'll recommend this one for ya.

Eli Roth directed Hostel. Tarantino was a producer- in other words, he did little more than receive a check for the use of his name, and the movie gained more paying viewers because Tarantino is a marketable name.

That aside, I thought Hostel was a poor film. It was over-done, and entirely too glitzy, which made it seem tacky. Some of the torture scenes were good, but overall I didn't like it. Just my opinion, though.

My god, A History Of Violence was terrible.

Consider Penn and Teller Get Killed, City of Lost Children, the animated Animatrix stuff if you haven't seen it, Princess Mononoke, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Bladerunner.
