Smokery would be a great name for a "Wow look how big my bong is!" site but I don't think it suits a site which will be aimed at the cultivation, medical and law reform aspects.

Smokery isn't available... Tokery would have been a good option but it looks like Growery is the runaway favorite and another poll probably wouldn't change that. So I say, start getting used to that name. :smile:

Tokery.org sounds good also..

I really don't like growery either.. I think the reason why everyone picked it was because all the others suck (ghanjery WTF)

I don't think an all-encompassing site about Marijuana should have a name that denotes Marijuana cultivation

No I'm not; I didn't mean for any legal reasons--I just meant it for accuracy. Call it The Growery if the focus is gonna be on growing, but if it's gonna be an all-encompassing site, I don't think it should be called The Growery.

I don't think growery is a very good name. It doesn't sound good, it doesn't come off the tounge good, it has nothing to do with MJ, etc..

So what is the reason for it again? It's not going to be a general site about growing, so it doesn't really fit.

I suggest tokery or maybe even midnighttokery.

You also really need to brainstorm more and have a couple rounds of polling before just having one poll to decide it. The choices weren't that good IMHO.

It think you should have a brainstorming thread, then a big poll where you can vote as many choices as you want, then pick the best and have a final poll.

The greatness of the Shroomery name should be followed up by another good and carefully chosen name.

Fred, I have the same feelings, but I guess people are more apt to choose from a list of names rather than think of making some up themselves.

I picked growery because its the best out of what was given but I don't think it is the best possible choice. If you wanted to encompass the entire cannabis culture and have the ery.net/org ending, why not 420ery.org/net? both are available. Whats better way to say "This is a place where the general cannabis culture can call home on the net" than 420ery? Its also short, easy to remember, easily recognizable, and easy to brand.

I say have a 3rd vote with growery (the leader in this pole) and a few of the other names suggested here. Or better yet have another general brainstorm in a highly restricted thread where each user can post once to either suggest a new name, or simply quote someone else's idea as in saying they are in favor of that one. then do another site wide vote with the top 10 from that. Just throwing ideas out :laugh:
