Sowing Poppies In Zone 5

Is it too late to sow some poppy seeds in Zone 5? I was really looking forward to having a nice garden this year but is it too late?

I sewed in the spring last year and this year. I did it 2 weeks ago.
And I am in zone 5b. I just plant them out of direct sunlight. In the next month or so they will slowly get more and more sun as it comes around the big tree in my yard.

i think it might be a bit too late to get the BEST crop, but youll get something for sure.. when you plant early, for some reason theres more resin and its a helluvalot more potent
