Got 10,000 poppy seeds should I put them in the fridge over winter to sow in the spring?

Put them in a paper baggie in a closet of a dry room and they will be fine. In the fridge they might not be, it being humid and rather cold.

If you are in a moderate climate you can sow them now. They grow better in veg state if it's really cold out. They will actually grow under snow in the winter if you start them in fall. So you can plant right when the snow melts if your in a cold area. You can also get more than one crop in a season if planed right. Sometimes it's better to have two staged crops so it's less work to harvest.

the fridge is fine to store them ... remember if your going to hand scatter these that its benificial to mix with sand so you don't get clumps.

I keep mine in the original packaging in a very small cardboard box been there for over a year seems to be fine. :sun:
