Cakes- Which way should they be birthed???

Alright, quick, simple question. I've read through endless amounts of teks and feedback from fellow cultivators. I'm still new at this (one cake birthed so far), so, I ask this: When I birth the cakes, which way should they be facing? Should they be sitting the original way (while they were colonizing in-vitro) or should I reverse that when I birth them? I only ask because 1) I made a booboo and I think I birthed mine upside-down, and 2) It doesn't state really in the teks (although I suppose I could have overlooked it all 2 billion times I read through. THANKS!

Thanks bassplayer, I did indeed birth upside down. My conditions havn't been up to par and it's been almost 4 weeks with no fruits, yet healthy looking cakes. Could it be because of temperature or is it because they are upside down? Should I flip them?

What is your temperature? What is your humidity?
They are not upside down.

I do not have a controlled temp. Avg. temp between 55 and 75....

75 is very good, but 55 is very low.
It can take longer at such low temperatures.
And the humidity?

i agree with anno, the jars should be fruited in the same position that they were colonized.

This is what I do - I birth them the same exact position they were when in the jars colonizing.. so when I take the cake I flip it in other words so its the position it was in the jar. And I birth it just like that resting on foil.

I wait till primordia form and when the pins are visable I flip the cake so the pins that are formed on/if the bottom are now on top.
