Definitely! I think those *somethings* have always been there, only we can become more aware and receptive to such things.

Your statement is a logical fallacy. All members belonging to a set must share the same characteristic that makes them members. Very basic math here.

Is it just me, or does it sometimes feel like "you" cause those things to happen? Almost as if the "you" that results from the stupid/dangerous thing that's about to happen, interferes. It's like the "you" from the parallel universe that "could have been" wipes out his/her own existance to save your future. I know, it sounds like some cheesey sci-fi idea, but I've felt things like that while reflecting on life during those very intense trips. It's strange to think where I'd be now if it hadn't been for following those premonitions or unexplainable "changes" in time.

Not to sound too crazy, but it feels like we all have predetermined "paths", and sometimes we come off our paths for many reasons. That's when we need something to point us back in the general direction that we're supposed to be going...

I won't go into detail because it's just embarrassing. But i made up my mind i was going to initiate something that I wasn't quite ready for, financially or as a person at the time . My common sense was telling me to just wait but I was ignoring it and just flowing with confidence.

Anyway, my dog never goes into my room, like ever. As i was leaving the bathroom after taking a shower, I open the door and in the darkness he rushes in as i hit the light. Now like i said, he never goes into my room for whatever reason so i'm standing there a bit perplexed. I tell him to go ( he's a belgium sheppard, cousin to the german sheppard and i swear to god he understands just about every word in the english dictionary quite possibly )and he looks at me and falls flat on the ground. Not only does he refuse to leave, when he always ALWAYS listens, but he has that worried look on his face with his ears down and his tail by his side. Now he weighs a good 120 pounds and i'm fed up with him actin up like this out of nowhere so I start to drag him out and at this point he starts digging his feet in and now i was getting a bit pissed.

I finally got him outta the room and closed the door. As I was leaving though he was sitting on his little counch thingy just gazing at me like he knew what was about to go down and I stopped for a second and we stared at each other for a little bit. I knew he was actin that way for a reason but i wasn't on shrooms so it wasn't like i could telepathically ask him wtf his problem was so i just shrugged it off and went on.

No, it doesn't really sounds sci-fi, it's true.
It's called programing your own mind... you silently whisper into your unconscious until you become determined to go in that particular direction.

EDIT: It's all personal objective and sometimes subjective opinion then I guess eh. What if the zebra does not care for life, for if the zebra truly did, he wouldn't go across the stream in the first place. Perhaps the zebra is simply a program, a program destined to die at that moment, and hence being a program it is his destiny. Debate it however you want.

Could be. Who knows for certain. I don't think that my "other" self went into my dogs spirit and started making him do that though. I'm sure we've all read or heard storys about dogs saving somebody from a burning house fire by getting them to leave the house before it actually starts.

I don't call it a failure anymore anyhow, it's just a result. Everything happened EXACTLY the way it had to and couldn't have happened any other way. Now that i look back on it ( been a little over a month ) I know that what happened is what exactly should have happened because if i had gotten the outcome i had desired, that outcome would have gone to the ditch within a week because of how my life was at that very moment in time.

Perhaps my other self, based on the possibility of this being true, did in fact still change the outcome based on perhaps a "knowing" that this was not going to turn out favorably. Perhaps the "right" time is approaching.

Interesting. Before reading about Indigo Children and their potential "abilities", I always assumed people who claim to be psychic were either nuts or they had good subconscious pattern recognition. I always score very high for recognizing trends or patterns on those tests that determine your personality and stuff. I thought that those "sixth sense" moments that turn out to be very real were just the subconscious trying to make me aware of a series of events that are likely to lead to a certain outcome. I still think it has a lot to do with the inner workings of the mind, but it really makes me wonder about the possibilities. What do you think? Are those moments described in this forum just mind tricks, or externally influenced for a reason?

I don't think there are such things as psychics.
But I feel like we have so much information stored in our subconscious that some individuals are better at accessing that info and then make the links.
To me it looks like a fast-thinking.

I've been told that we use 6 to 10% of our brains on average and on psychadelics we use anywhere from 40-60% of our brains. I never researched this to be true. But seeing how he's been doing this stuff for 36 years researching and all, i'll take his word for it.

Research Report
Dormancy of the Human Brain
Dormant Brain Research and Development Laboratory
T.D.A. Lingo, Director

The human brain is only 10% functional, at best.
The first to outline this theory, later proved a fact by others, was Australian Neurology Nobel Laureate Sir John Eccles. (Lecture: University of Colorado, University Memorial Center Boulder, July 31, 1974.) "The brain indicates its powers are endless."

In England, John Lorber did autopsies on hydrocephalics. This illness causes all but the 1/6th inch layer of brain tissue to be dissolved by acidic spinal fluid. He tested the IQ's of patients before and during the disease. His findings showed that IQ remained constant up to death. Although over 90% of brain tissue was destroyed by the disease, it had no impact on what we consider to be normal intelligence.

Russian neurosurgeon Alexandre Luria proved that the 1/3 bulk of frontal lobes are mostly dormant. He did this by performing ablation experiments on persons. He gave physiological and psychological tests before, cut out parts and whole frontal lobes, the re-tested after. His conclusion: removal of part or all of frontal lobes causes no major change in brain function, (some change in mood alteration). The frontal lobes are mostly dormant, asleep. (Luria, A.R. "Frontal Lobes and the Regulation of Behavior." In: K.H. Pribram and A.R. Luria, Editors, Psychophysiology of the Frontal Lobes. New York, and London, Academic Press, 1973)

Finally, the human brain contains 10 billion neurons, mostly in the outer layer of brain cortex. the function of these currently dominant cells is fairly clear. but the brain also contains 120 billion glial cells. Aside from some secondary nurturing of neurons, the primary function of the glia is not clear. What big bang mirical awaits mankind within these mysteries?

Today, most would agree without argument that the potential of the human brain is infinite. Thus, to state that a person uses 10%, 5%, or even 1% of their potential brain capacity (infinity) is overly generous.

The point is this: There is no dispute among honestly rational experts about the latent potential of the human think box. There is only friendly dispute about how much and what still awaits us, patiently to be self-discovered between each set of ears. Hence, the wisdom of intuitive folksay was correct: "The human brain is only 10% functional." John Eccles thinks that number is too high. "How can you calculate a percentage of infinity?"
