small weed pots??

so my friend can only use 10 inch pots to hold his indoor weed plants. he is wondering if this will be enough to grow at least a quarter to smoke. he is more interested in the growing and would just like a little sample at the end. thanks

10 inch? what's that 1-3 gallons? should be good. what kind of light does he have?

thanks for replying felix. he has the plant sitting in a window so it gets sun from about 6 am till 11am. I know that more sun is better but he wants to keep his plant somewhat small. He plans on transporting to the other side of the house when it begins to flower so that it gets morning and afternoon sun. We live in the desert SW so there is hardly ever clouds and the sun is intense. Please if you have any other advice on growing in small pots indoors, it would be greatly appreciated.

Seriously, the best size pot changes. If you put it in a big pot from a seedling, the roots will grow straight down to the bottom of the pot. But if you start in a small cup as a seedling, then move to a bigger pot and a bigger pot as the plant grows, it will force the plants roots to grow outward and establishing a really good root system, which is essential to the health of the plant. A good root system will grow faster and be heartier and in the end will produce more yeilds... Properly grown, a female plant will yeild and ounce or more.

thanks hermit...the pot size can only reach 10inch max so hopefully it will produce enough to smoke a bit..
