Things that piss me off about girls at bars

1.  Why do you expect guys to buy you drinks but you NEVER buy drinks for us?

2.  Just because I engaged in some innocent conversation or complimented you on your shirt doesn't mean that I am macking on you or that I want to have sex with you.  If I am making a play for you I will make it obvious.  Admittedly, us guys are horny...but sometimes we really just are being purely friendly and we have no ulterior motives.  Get over yourself.

3.  On the 1 to 10 scale (1 being hideous, 5 being normal, and 10 being drop-dead gorgeous) "3" girls tend to piss me off.  "3" girls get hit on a lot by drunk guys and thus think they're the shit and then proceed to prance around like they are goddesses.  In reality a lot of us guys are too nervous to go talk to the "9" girl that we would really like to take home and we have determined that the "3" girl would take much less work.  Thus, we go for the "3" girl.  This does not mean that you're hot.  In fact, you don't look good at all.  PLEASE stop wearing "sexy" clothes that look terrible on you.  Please.  Us guys will have sex with you because you have a vagina and because you're easy....that's the extent of it.  In fact, while we're doing you we will have our eyes closed and we will be pretending that you are somebody else.

A man is expected to pursue the woman, while the woman either accepts or rejects his advances.  I thought this was taken for granted to be the case. :shrug:

People often go to bars for the express purpose of getting laid, so it's understandable that in such an atmosphere, such actions might be interpreted as sexual advances.

Yeah, the 8-10's are either going to shoot you down horribly or they are such a pain in the ass to go after.  So, it's not even worth trying a lot of times.  The 1-4's are a lot easier.  :shrug:

Well written and I agree on all points.

The least painful way to get chicks in a bar is to act completely uninterested. Don't be a dick, but don't go out of your way to be nice.

essentially you're waiting for someone to come across your way that is interested in talking to you.

Sure there may be many nights where nothing happens but at least you leave with cash in pocket and self-esteem unharmed.

Honestly, I think I'm about a 4.  So, in theory I should have had that two-ish girl bagged with not much effort.  I guess she was feeling like a prude and decided to rebuff my advances.  If only she could have seen past my sleaziness and seen what a genuinely upstanding guy that I am.  :frown:

Just because someone is ugly doesn't mean what they view as attractive is lower. You being a self-proclaimed 4 should understand that. Some people just refuse to lower their standards (like my ugly ass.)

Hmm a thing that pisses me off about girls in general is sarcasm.

For some reason it seems to have become fashionable among many girls to approach men with a subtle (so they think) sarcasm with a dash of cynicism and female superiority.

Shit's annoying.

+ fuck waking up and puking 12 times when you didnt drink that much last night... I threw up every 20min or so from 8:30-noon... vomiting bile sucks - i couldn't even keep water/toast/anything down.

its all about social proof, demonstrating higher value, passing 'frame' tests, and projecting an image/esteem.

Basically walk up to a girl and say "oh i like ur shoes, my grandma wears the same ones", or "thats really cute that you're not embarassed to have a moustash" This lowers her self esteem and also makes her think u aint interested in picking her up. So she will be like wtf why isnt this guy acting like all the other guys. So shes actually try to prove herself to YOU. DHV, demonstrating higher value should be done after u knock her down a peg, tell a story or soemthing thats nto bragging but conveys positive social qualities. A frame test is the constant struggle between people who impose their reality on others. A women will be instinctively attracted to a man with a solid view of a reality. So by asking you to buy them a drink, you are bending to their view of reality thus being a tool/weak. Try it some time. you got nothing to lose besides ur virginity. =P If you want a very detailed book on this shit, check out The Game by Neil Strauss (aka Style), worlds #1 pickup artist. He went from a balding nobody to a hardcore ladies man in 2 years studying under the best previous pickup artists

The Game is a good book, but Strauss quit. Plus most of the guys in the book didn't end up with the most positive outcomes.. just sayin.

And Strauss himself even said that the only way he found his wife was just by being himself.. not trying to pick her up.
