That moment of shock when you're eating at a restaurant and you realize...
    #6710006 -

...that there's a HAIR in your food and that it's NOT YOURS.

I mean...sure it happens. I work in a restaurant. I've served a lemonade unknowing that there was a fruitfly bobbing around inside. But it's still like WHOA! WHERE DID THAT COME FROM??! whenever I find someone else's hair in my food.

What am I getting at?  I didn't know I had to make a post to get anywhere.   Can't I just post in peace?  JEEZUS.  :tongue2:

Anyway, we got our meal for free + a free milkshake.  I still tipped the waitress $10 for being cool.

I'm also a waitress! I know how it is. The thing is...everytime I go into Chili's something like that happens. They get our order wrong or charge us inappropriately or something. I think I'm just not meant to eat there.

Yeah, I should really eat at home more.  The money adds up fast when you eat out all the time.  It's hard to cook at home though because I don't have a working oven.  :mad2:

I hate it when they mess up my bill and I tell them(in a calm and serene fashion, of course) that its not my bill and they act like it's my fault.

MOTH, have you ever spat on some lousy customers food or something of the sort?

Okay, the most shady thing I've done as a waitress was during my first week on the job.  The customers in question loved me, loved the restaurant, loved everything about the food.  It was all going great.  I was boxing up their pizza in the back and it just tumbled out of my hands to the floor.  I panicked, picked it up and immediately put it in the box.  I didn't know what to do.  I have to admit...I gave them the box and told them to have a nice day.

Yeah, totally shady, I KNOW.  Nowadays if I make a mistake like that, I just tell the manager and she makes them a whole new pizza to take home.  A much better tactic.

I had just moved from Texas to MA and was feeling pretty unstabilized...no excuse, but that is a pretty crazy thing to do.  Especially to people who adored the food.

Oh well.  Sometimes I'm morally flexible, especially in the heat of the moment.

Maybe the hair is karma.

The moment of truth when one realizes what is really on the end of their fork is commonly refered to as a Naked Lunch.

Well see, it was only on the floor for THREE SECONDS MAX. So I figured..."it's still good?"

I told one of my supervisors (a shroomerite actually) what I had done a few days later and he just kinda laughed and said, "Oh man."

Haven't you heard of the 10 second rule? You were well within limits at only 3 seconds. :smirk:

Really, as long as there's no visible dirt and the floor is cleaned daily, then what's the big deal? We all ingest dirt and dust already anyway...
