Puppies Playing in the Snow
    #6695345 -

I took some pictures yesterday and today of my pups playing outside in the snow.  They had a blast, and I figured I'd post some of the pictures.

I've never owned a snake - Right now I have 2 dogs and 5 ferrets, and I've had cats, turtles, guinea pigs, fish, hampsters, rabbits (I think that's it?). Oh, also a few squirrels for a few weeks. I love animals!

i've had a bunch of animals too. but right now i only have 2 dogs and my sister's got a fucking chihuahua thing. i fucking hate that little rat. chewing on my guitar cables and shit, i just wanna kill it. do your roomates/family like all your animals? noone in my family likes snakes so i can't have one at home but i think they're really cool. slithering around all day and they are nice and cold when you touch them.

Do squirrels make good pets? I kept a baby one that I found about to get killed by my neighbor's cat a few years ago, but only for a couple of days.

Good pictures too, it looks like those puppies are really having lots of fun.

I only have 1 "roommate" and it's my fiance.  We just bought a house, so noone has the authority to complain about our pets   I typically don't like little teeny dogs either - I mean, I like them, but I prefer bigger dogs.  Often times the problem I've run into with bratty, misbehaved little dogs is that the owners don't feel the need to train them properly because they're so small.  They treat them more like babies than like dogs, and spoil them rotten, and let them misbehave.  Don't get me wrong, I spoil my dogs and treat them like family, but they're both trained and well behaved (although our lab is a typical lab, overly excited and goofy).

Squirrels do not make good pets.  They get wild very fast, and can really hurt you.  I was at a friends house and there was a family or squirrels under her porch, and we saw the mother get hit by a car.  The babies were only a few days old, and they were going to die if someone didn't do something.  I crawled under the porch and gathered all of them up in my sweatshirt and brought them home, and made them a bed in my closet.  I called a local animal wildlife place, and they told me that they didn't deal with squirrels, because they were too wild and could be vicious.  The woman did however tell me how to care for them and attempt to re-release them before it got too cold out, which I did.  They were pretty tame the whole time I had them, and since I had them from when they were so young, I think they sort of viewed me like a surrogate mother.  I fed them out of medicine droppers at first, then small bottles.  They ran around in my walk-in closet, and my mother was completely oblivious to them, at first.  I always made sure to have conversations with my mom in an area other than my bedroom.  Then one day she came in, and heard them scurrying around in there.  She demanded that I open the door, and I demanded that she back up before I do so, because I didn't know how they would react to other people that they didn't know.  So, I opened the door, and they thought it was food time, and lined up in front of me like they always did - my Mom almost lost it.  She freaked for a few minutes, and then watched me feed them, and saw how cute and well behaved they were.  I told her that I was going to be releasing them in the yard behind our house, and she let me continue what I was doing until that happened.  As far as I know, they made it through the winter up in the trees

I do, yeah   I take tons of pictures of my pets, especially my dogs.  They always look like they're having so much fun running around playing, that I love taking pictures and trying to capture them having a blast.

Lucy loves playing fetch.  She'll chase a stick or a tennis ball for hours.  Molly loves tennis balls, and sort of plays with them like a cat - she bats the ball around between her paws, and pounces on it over and over again   The 2 of them play really well together - we just got Molly a few weeks ago, and they're best buddies, just like we hoped

funny pet story:
a couple years ago my mom had one of these parrots. that bird would open up the cage and wander about. so one day i come home tired get in the house but leave the door wide open. now this bird hated me, whenever i got near it the thing would try to bite me. so i come home and decide to take a nap. then, i feel something in my bed so sit up real fast and i guess the bird got scared and it goes into murder mode. i have been attacked by cats before but this thing scratched me like nothing else in my life. this thing is scratching and biting the fuck out of me and finally i grab and immobilize it. after a while it calms down and i put it on the floor, it walks around my room and jumps on my bed again but not to attack me. it just stood there, so i reach for it and start petting it. after that little incident he practically lived in my room. even learned to say "tengo hambre" which is "i'm hungry" in spanish.

 that's a cute story.  I personally don't like birds very much, they are loud and annoying.  Or maybe the birds that I've met have just been loud and annoying
